It seemed like the roadblocks in the way of production for the last two seasons of Stranger Things have decided to be as difficult as possible. While the fourth season of Netflix’s crown jewel IP had to suffer the wrath of the pandemic, the finale season, season 5 had to wait for a long time to go on sets because of the Hollywood strikes that had brought the entire industry to a very long halt. As the strikes were resolved, the industry began moving towards normalcy again and now turns out Stranger Things season 5 is back on track we have gotten our hands on details about when it goes on floors.

Stranger Things season 5 was very close to starting filming when the Hollywood strikes were announced. The plans were all put on hold and the actors were told to wait. But now as the world is moving again and Hollywood is busy compensating for the gap, the latest report from Comicbook has revealed that season 5 will go on floors in January 2024. As per the report, the production of the final season will begin on January 5 or January 8, whichever is convenient for the team.

The portal also claims that the cast of the show has already arrived in Atlanta, Georgia where the sets of Hawkins, Indiana have been erected for them to shoot for Stranger Things Season 5. They are expected to get on-table readings for the final season with the makers and will begin shooting in the new year.

Most recently Stranger Things creators Duffer Brothers had spoken about their pitch for the fifth season calling it a tear-jerker. "Listen. It's our process but it's just like, we really just try to focus on one season at a time," Ross Duffer told The Wrap. "We do have an outline for season 5 and we pitched it to Netflix and they really responded well to it. I mean, it was hard. It's the end of the story. I saw executives who I've never seen cry before and it was wild. And it's not just to do with the story, just the fact that it's like, Oh my God, this thing that has defined so many of our lives, these Netflix people who has been with us from the beginning, seven years now, and it's hard to imagine the journey coming to an end."
