Stranger Things has been a fan-favourite show on Netflix ever since its first season premiered on the streaming platform. Fans have also come to adore the show’s young and talented cast. Winona Ryder has now opened up about working with the young stars on the show.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryder said, “We’ve obviously been working with them for [eight] years now — most of them — but I just marvel at them. They’re grounded. They’re so, so talented."

She also expressed that she is extremely proud of the once kid stars and how they have grown. There is a purity to kids that age, and there’s a real specialness there. These kids, in particular, just floor me at how kind and thoughtful and incredible they are," she added.

The first season of the show featured Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp as the young stars who were uncovering the dark secrets of Hawkins, Indiana. Sadie Sink joined them later in the second season of the show. While most of them started out at the young age of 12 or 13, they are headed for their 20’s now.

Ryder, who started her acting career at a young age, plays Joyce Byers in the show. The fourth season of Stranger Things sees Joyce and Murray (Brett Gelman) travel to Russia, in the hope of finding Jim Hopper alive.

The latest season also features Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Matthew Modine, Joe Keery, Paul Reiser and Maya Hawke among others. The season is split into two parts, with the first part now available on Netflix. The second part is scheduled to start streaming on July 1.
