Thiruchitrambalam:
Thiruchitrambalam marks the fourth collaboration between actor Dhanush and director Mithran R Jawahar. The actor-director duo knocked it out of the park by delivering an uplifting film that centres on the struggles of working-class people. In the movie, Dhanush plays the titular Thiruchitrambalam, a food-deliver agent. While he may seem like a happy-go-lucky guy, in the company of good friends, he suffers from a personal trauma. His relationship with his father Inspector Neelakandan (played by a wonderful Prakash Raj) seems to be beyond repair. However, Thiruchitrambalam's grandfather, played by an amazing Bharathiraja and his best friend Shobana (Nithya Menen) provide him with the much-needed moral and emotional support to overcome his trauma and navigate the challenges of reality.
Thiruchitrambalam debuted on Amazon Prime Video this week. It's also available on Sun NXT.
Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty:
If you are in the mood for a feel-good romantic drama, then Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty will be the perfect pick for you. While it may seem like a routine cheesy rom-com, this film seems to offer more than just a few laughs. The movie follows the efforts of a single and ambitious woman Anvitha Ravali Shetty (Anushka Shetty) trying to become a mother, without getting into the complications of marriage. She seeks the help of stand-up comedian Sidhu Polishetty (Naveen Polishetty) in her pursuit of motherhood. Sidhu being a simpleton struggles to come to terms with Anvitha's unconventional perspective. And what follows is a slew of comedic punchlines and challenges of modern-day relationships. The movie was written and directed by Mahesh Babu P.

Akshay Kumar reprises his role as the divine entity in the sequel to OMG – Oh My God. In 2012 through-provoking satirical, he played the role of Lord Krishna.
