Stree 2 phir aa gayi: Rajkummar Rao announces sequel to his and Shraddha Kapoor’s film, here’s when it releases

Rajkummar Rao has announced the sequel to Stree, Stree 2. He made a punny announcement writing, “O Stree, 2 phir aa gayi!” With that, he announced that he’s pairing up with Shraddha again, for the sequel of the film.

Stree 2 is slated to release in 2024. He confirmed the same writing, “O Stree, agle saal aana” in Hindi.

Rajkummar also added Stree song Milegi Milegi to his caption. He then announced that the film is finalized to release in August 2024.

In the clip shared by Rajkummar Rao, he performs on stage with Stree, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi. The announcement is just as mysterious as the first installment. Shraddha disappears the moment Vicky (Rajkummar) looks away to interact with his friends.

Pankaj then reveals the date of the sequel saying, “Aane wale dino mein hamaare Chanderi ke upar, bhay se bhi zyaada bhayaanak, khatra se bhi zyaada khatarnaak aafat aane wali hai. Usko bataane ke liye Stree aayegi aaj se theekh 507 din baad.”

Stree released in theatres on August 31, 2018 and was instantly loved. The movie was helmed by Amar Kaushik and received immense love despite being the first horror-comedy in Bollywood in a long time.

The franchise continued with the recently released film Bhediya. Starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, the movie also had cameo appearances by Rajkummar, Shraddha and Aparshakti. Abhishek played one of Varun’s friends in the film. The movie had released in theatres on November 25. It was also directed by Amar.
