According to the latest reports circulating online, the show has found another actor to lead alongside the reportedly-confirmed Shanaya Kapoor. Alaya F Joins SOTY 3 Show?

Last year, it was reported that Student Of The Year 3 would feature Shanaya Kapoor in the lead, though no further details emerged. She is still expected to be part of the show, potentially making her debut on streaming rather than the big screen. As per a new update, Alaya F has joined the cast of SOTY 3, which will be directed by Reema Maya instead of Karan Johar.

According to Pinkvilla, Alaya F will play a parallel lead opposite Shanaya Kapoor in the Student Of The Year 3 series. However, details about their characters and the plot remain undisclosed. Karan Johar has yet to officially announce the show or its cast.

It Won’t Be Karan Johar’s Voice

Karan Johar recently attended the Cinevesture International Film Festival (CIFF) in Chandigarh (via Hindustan Times), where he discussed working with an interesting lineup of directors. He confirmed that Reema Maya, known for Nocturnal Burger, will direct the much-anticipated Student Of The Year 3, now a web series. Johar emphasized that the third installment will reflect Reema’s vision and not his own, signaling a departure from the franchise’s traditional style.

“Reema Maya will be directing the digital version of Student of the Year. But it will be her way, not mine, because if I were to enter Reema Maya’s world, I would make it more of an illusion—which her name signifies. I just wanted it to be her voice. She made it her own series,” Karan Johar stated.
