Subham: After Zee5 backs out, Samantha Ruth Prabhu locks THIS platform for her horror comedy
Subham's OTT rights were bagged by Zee5 initially, but due to some financial issues, Zee5 backed out. Samantha, the producer of the film, has now signed a deal with yet another popular platform.

Subham is Samantha Ruth Prabhu's new film that she produced in Telugu. After taking a slow start, the horror comedy has finally taken off thanks to the holiday season and aggressive promotions by Samantha post the release of the film.
Subham OTT platform details
Subham is now in the safe zone, and Zee5 bagged the digital rights to the film. But once the film was released, both Samantha and the platform had financial issues, and Zee 5 backed out of the OTT deal. Now, Zee5 is no longer the OTT partner of Subham.
Well, we at OTTplay have come to know that the Theri and A.Aaa star has locked a deal with Jio Hotstar for a better price now. Samantha turned producer for the first time with Subham, but she faced a lot of issues with the production and release. The film's theatrical rights were sold for nominal prices despite Samantha's presence in the project. Once the film was released, the OTT deal got canceled.
Samantha's aggressive promotions help Subham big time
Samantha managed to get through rough waters and single-handedly promoted the film across the Telugu states and made Subham a winner. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, Subham is the story of a woman getting possessed while watching a TV serial at 9 PM every day. Why this happens and what the backstory is are showcased hilariously. An official confirmation about the OTT deal will be made soon by the makers.
Samantha is busy with her other projects and has not signed any other films in Telugu. The Autonagar Surya star is shooting for her Hindi web series Rakth Brahmand for Amazon Prime Video, but in Telugu, she is yet to sign any film to date. This has disappointed her fans a bit, but to please them, Samantha did a cameo in Subham and was loved by one and all. The OTT release of Subham is likely to happen in the second week of June 2025.
