Subham is Samantha Ruth Prabhu's new film that she has produced on a very low budget. Samantha was so confident that she started airing special shows two days ahead of the release, and this worked as the film started with very positive word of mouth. But sadly, the day one numbers were shockingly low.
However, the Theri actress took it upon herself and started promoting the film very aggressively. The result is there to see, as with each passing day, the occupancy and collections are only improving.
After making under Rs 1 crore on days one and two, Subham finally made Rs 1.2 crore on day three of its release. With this, the total collection of the film is Rs 2.5 crore. A huge event has been planned in Hyderabad to keep the film in the news. Praveen Kandregula of Cinema Bandi fame has directed the film, which has all newcomers in lead roles.

Subham is set in a small town in Vizag and is about women getting possessed while watching a TV show. The comedy and the message conveyed through the film about looking down upon women in today's times have been welcomed by the audience. The Auto Nagar Surya actress, Samantha, also did a cameo in the film and got the loudest cheer.
As Subham released alongside Samajavaragamana fame Sree Vishnu's #Single, it faced some tough times at the box office initially. But now things have worked well for the film as the occupancy is improving with each passing show. Rag Mayur of Veeranjaneyulu Vihara Yatra is also seen in a fun role in this film, which has been made on a budget of less than Rs 5 crore.
Zee5 has bagged the OTT rights to the film for a fancy price, and Samantha is already in the profit zone thanks to this deal. Zee is likely to stream the film on the same day as its OTT premiere. This new trend has been started by Zee5, as the last two films from the noted platform, Sankranthi Vasthunnam and Robinhood, were streamed similarly.
