Subham OTT release date: When, where to watch Samantha Ruth Prabhu's horror comedy

Samantha Ruth Prabhu turned producer with the film Subham. The horror comedy was directed by Mail fame Praveen Kandregula and ended up as a decent fare at the box office. The day-one collections of the film were quite low. Seeing this, the Theri and Auto Nagar Surya star, Samantha, sprang into action and promoted the film aggressively across the Telugu states, ensuring that it landed in the safe zone.

Subham locks OTT release date

Zee5 had initially bagged the digital and satellite rights to the film for a fancy price. However, as Subham opened on a dull note in theaters, the platform had issues and backed out at the last minute. This upset Samantha greatly, and she subsequently locked JioCinema (Hotstar) as the OTT platform for Subham.

Now, the latest update is that Hotstar will make Subham available for streaming from June 13, 2025. The announcement was made through a swanky new poster. Subham is a horror comedy featuring all-new faces in key roles. The film revolves around women getting possessed while watching a TV show at 9 PM. The mystery behind this is revealed hilariously.

Subham landed Samantha in solid profits

Subham was made on a budget of ₹10 crore and earned handsome profits. Reports suggest that Samantha pocketed decent gains thanks to the OTT deal with Hotstar. There is no denying that Subham will be one of the most-awaited films on OTT, as a section of the audience missed it in theaters due to its lack of star power.

The comedy delivered by the lead actors is hilarious, and the film's message about women's empowerment through entertainment is superbly portrayed on screen.
