Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a big name in Telugu cinema but has now focused her attention on pan-India projects. She is yet to sign a Telugu project, but a few months ago, the Eega star launched her new production house, Tralala Moving Pictures, where she plans to introduce new talent to the industry.

The first project under her banner has been titled Subham, and it is a horror comedy. The film is directed by Praveen Kandregula of Cinema Bandi fame and has impressed one and all with its teaser. Well, the latest update is that producer Samantha has revealed that Subham will hit the screens on May 9, 2025, worldwide.

Written by Vasanth Mariganti, the film is a family drama set against a backdrop of horror and comedy. Raj Nidimoru of Raj and DK fame is the creative producer behind this film, overseeing the production formalities. After acting in big films, Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Attarintiki Daaredi, Samantha has shifted her focus to production and will also be a part of Subham's promotions.
Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, and Shalini Kondepudi play key roles in this film, which has music by Clinton. Mridul Sujit Sen has cranked the camera for this small-town story, which is touted to be high on comedy.
The teaser showcases a couple on the first night of their wedding. As the husband tries to impress his wife, she watches a TV show, gets possessed, and reveals a shocking new side of herself. This sets up a solid premise, and the teaser then highlights the various issues faced by the husband due to his wife's bizarre behaviour.
Praveen Kandregula is known for his subtle comedy, and the same is seen in Cinema Bandi. He seems to have taken things a notch higher with Subham, which features new actors in key roles. The Theri actress is also in big plans to make more OTT content in the days to come.
