Subhashree Ganguly enjoys baby shower with parents and in-laws

Filmmaker Raj Chakraborty and actress Subhashree Ganguly took to their social media in June this year to announce her second pregnancy. Later, they also announced that they would welcome their second child in December. It is just three months to go and Subhashree’s parents and in-laws celebrated baby shower with her.

Before her first child, Yuvaan, was born, she was seen enjoying the baby shower in a yellow saree. However, She picked a multicolour kurta this time. They did not reveal the menu or the other party plans around the ceremony on social media. This time, the couple is perhaps prioritising keeping their personal lives private.

Raj Chakraborty told Anandabazar Online, “We don't want to disclose on social media about what we ate or wore. We don't want to talk about this anywhere. We shared a photo and that was all.” During Yuvaan’s time, the couple held a gala event and shared the photos on social media. But this time they are perhaps comfortable in keeping things private. Subhasree went to Mumbai to work on a television commercial a few days back. She was warmly greeted by her son upon her return. The baby shower was arranged after she came back. The actress is not signing any work right now. She was scheduled to act in Srijit Mukherji’s Puja film Dawshom Awbotaar, but she withdrew herself from the project due to her pregnancy. Later Srijit told us, “Dawshom Awbotaar has a very pivotal character called Maitree for which we have cast Subhashree Ganguly. This character has a lot of physically exhausting scenes. We are anticipating a lot of duress. This is why, given the exciting news of Subhashree’s second pregnancy and her medical condition, we mutually decided not to work together in Dawsham.” Wishing the actress and her husband Raj Chakraborty, the director said, “May Raj and Subhashree’s life be full of such brilliant news. We are very happy for them.”
