Subhashree Ganguly is, undoubtedly, one of the top actresses in the Bengali film industry. After redefining her image as an actress with her husband Raj Chakrabarty’s Parineeta, she shattered the myth that an actress’ career ends after marriage. She enjoys an enormous fan following on social media. Subhasree’s new film Doctor Bakshi was released on Friday. The film, directed by Saptaswa Basu, stars Subhasree as a writer. After Habji Gabji and Boudi Canteen, Subhasree and Parambrata Chatterjee pair again in this film. 

Tollywood’s success of 2022 continues this year with Dev and Mithun Chakraborty’s Projapati. Subhasree talked about the film that features her ex, Dev. In a recent interview, she said, “A lot of Bengali films have been released in 2022. After Covid, 2022 was the year to release so many films that were stuck. The last year was a good year for the industry. Projapati was the icing on the cake. I have not yet watched it, but everyone praises the film. I feel good as a part of the industry.” Projapati did a business of Rs eight cr in four weeks. Dev also wished Subhasree good luck with her film. He tagged the actress on Twitter and wished her the best. 

The love story between Dev and Subhasree was once an open secret in Tollywood. They did not admit it openly, but everything was clear after their breakup. This on-screen pair started their journey with the film Challenge and continued with their dazzling chemistry in films like Paran Jai Jaliya Re, Khokababu, and Romeo. Their fans are surely eager to see them once again together on screen. They worked together after their breakup in the film Dhumketu. However, the film’s release is stuck due to Dev's tiff with the joint producer Rana Sarkar. 

Kaberi Antordhan and Dilkhush were also released on Friday. How does she take this challenge? Subhasree answered, “I get tensed even during a solo release. It is like examination time. I sincerely want every film to do well.” 

Subhasree enjoys a happy married life with her husband Raj and son Yuvan. Social media gives glimpses of the loving family. Yuvan is already a craze on social media. Subhasree said, “Yuvan is grown-up now. He started to talk in complete sentences. He started saying ‘Ablu (I love you)’. Sometimes he says, ‘I will not go to school’. I wonder – I gave birth just the other day, and suddenly he is so grown-up!”
