Besides being a National Award-winning director, Kaushik Ganguly is also known to be an acclaimed actor. His film Kothamrito which also features Aparajita Adhya, Biswanath Basu, Kanchan Mullick, and others will soon be released in theatres. Directed by Jiit Chakraborty, Kaushik will be seen as Aparajita’s husband, who cannot speak.

Meanwhile, his next film Subho Bijoya’s trailer is released. The trailer hints at a drama filled with Bengali culture and tradition. Directed by Rohan Sen, the film also stars Churni Ganguly, Bonnie Sengupta, Koushani Mukherjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, Manasi Sinha, Sweta, and Amrita Dey.

The trailer takes us to the interior of the Bandyopadhyay family, which is arranging for a Durga Puja. During Devi Baran, we closely see the face of the idol and the face of the matriarch of the family, played by Churni. After four days of the festival, the light becomes dim and Bijoya Dashami comes. The film is about those four days. The film is the story of a joint family in North Kolkata. The family is split with time. But all the members again come close owing to an incident and the relationship gap lessens.

The trailer was launched on the day of Jagaddhatri Puja. Actors and technicians of the film were present at the launch. For the first time, the audience will see Koushani and Bonnie as completely different characters. They play a married couple.

Kaushik Ganguly plays the husband of Churni in the film. Elaborating on her character, Churni told the media, “Earlier, Kaushik and I have played husband and wife, but those were the films all directed by Kaushik. For the first time, another director allowed us to play married couples. Actually, whenever I and Kaushik act together, Kaushik starts laughing. I thought this would happen this time, too. However, it did not happen.” The film's music is directed by Anindya Chattopadhyay, Savvy, and Ranajay.
