Actors Suddhy Kopaa and Lukman Avaran have been rising among the ranks through their stellar performances. No Man’s Land, which has the duo along with Action Hero Biju actress Sreeja Das in the lead, is set to release on Amazon Prime Video soon.
With theatre owners now looking at star-driven films at least in the initial phase after their reopening, movies without the big stars are expected to release on OTT platforms and No Man’s Land is one such example.
Announcing the Jishnu Harindra Varma directorial’s OTT release, Suddhy sharing a video on his social media page said, “It’s encouraging for artistes like us that a huge platform like Amazon Prime Video has agreed to release a movie like this.”
The film revolves around Sreeja’s character Sumitra who works as a housekeeper in a resort in a hill station. One day, Sumithra happens to be at the scene of a murder after a duo checks into the resort. She puts it behind her but the past soon catches up with her when a police officer arrives to investigate the missing persons.
In the video, Sreeja said, “It was more challenging than the characters I have played so far. All of us took a lot of pain and effort to act in the movie.”
Lukman, who shot to fame with his lead role in Operation Java with Balu Varghese earlier this year, is working in Tovino Thomas’ Thallumala and is also part of Tharun Moorthy’s Saudi Vellakka. The release date of No Man’s Land is yet to be announced. Samyuktha Menon’s thriller Erida is the latest Malayalam movie to release on Amazon Prime Video.
