Sudhir Mishra's Afwaah with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar will release on THIS date

Afwaah - the much-awaited film that is a result of a powerful collaboration of two National Award-winning filmmakers Anubhav Sinha and Sudhir Mishra - is set to release on February 24 in theatres. Afwaah stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles, and both of them are working together for the first time.

The film is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha, and directed and written by Sudhir Mishra. Sharing his experience of working on the film as a producer, Anubhav called it one of the most fulfilling experiences in his career.

Speaking about the collaboration with Sudhir Mishra, Anubhav said, "Sudhir and I have been friends for many years and I am happy to bring this film to the audience. It is an intriguing story and the performances of powerhouse talents like Bhumi and Nawaz only add weightage and gravitas to the characters."

On his part, Sudhir said, "Afwaah is a thriller that has an important message that is relevant to the current times." He added that he is glad that now the release date has been announced, audiences will get a chance to watch a great performance by two talented actors - Nawazuddin and Bhumi.

The veteran filmmaker said, "The super-talented combo of Bhumi and Nawaz have given their best to this unconventional story and I am sure that the audience is going to love watching them together on the big screen."

The film also stars Sharib Hashmi, Sumit Kaul, Sumeet Vyas, Rockey Raina and TJ Bhanu.
