The film marks Sayantani Guhathakurta’s return to film after two years. In a statement to Entertainment Times, she said that while the shoot was hectic, it was refreshing all the same and the experience was ‘satisfying and reassuring.’
Speaking on her character, she said that she will essay the role of a ‘simple girl’ Chumki, who takes to negative shades due to the turn of circumstances in her life.
She went on to add that playing Chumki was challenging for her as in real life, she is poles apart from the character. But at the helm of it, she was glad to be on the shoot. “After two back-to-back lockdowns, it felt like I would never be able to go back to the sets and act,” she said because many projects were getting shelved.
But being back on sets was a different high that did away with all the negative thoughts. Sayantoni is currently on a break after 10 days of a continuous shooting schedule.
