Suhas started his career by doing tiny roles in short films on YouTube. He began taking on character roles and suddenly transitioned into a main lead with the film Colour Photo. The film won a National Award and made Suhas a household name in Telugu cinema. He has done close to ten films as the main lead and is now one of the most sought-after actors in Tollywood.
The other day, he surprised one and all by announcing that he is all set to make his Tamil debut with the film Mandaadi, a project backed by celebrated filmmaker Vetrimaaran. Mandaadi's first look was launched the other day, and the presence of Suhas shocked everyone. He will be seen in a supporting role in the film, which will be headlined by Soori of Viduthalai fame. A close associate of Vetrimaaran, Mathimaran Pugazhenthi, will direct the film, and Suhas will play a very important character.
When asked about his sudden entry into Tamil cinema, Suhas said, "I have been getting a lot of offers in Tamil, but I was hesitant as I did not know the language. But the moment Mandaadi was offered and I came to know about Vetri Sir's involvement, I felt this was the best time to make my Tamil debut. I have a solid role which is high on performance, and I hope everyone will welcome me in Tamil cinema."
Suhas had not one but seven releases as the main lead in 2025. His biggest hit, however, was Prasanna Vadanam, which you can stream on OTTplay Premium. Suhas has three films lined up in Telugu, one of which is with Keerthy Suresh. The film is currently on set and will be out later this year.
When asked about doing more films in Tamil, Suhas said, "I have just started and will see how my first film is received. If I get such good roles, language is not a barrier," said Suhas.
Well, let's see how he handles his debut in Tamil in the days to come. Sathyaraj and Mahima Nambiar play key roles in the film, which has music by GV Prakash. Stay tuned for more updates.
