The Malayalam film, Sukhamano Sukhamann, starring young actors Mathew Thomas and Devika Sanjay, is set to release in theatres on February 13, 2026. On the eve of its release, the makers have dropped a teaser which promises a fun film, featuring an iconic villain, Spadikam George, who seems to have turned a 'pookie ghost' for the Gen Z audience.
The latest glimpse from the upcoming movie Sukhamano Sukhamann shows a woman, played by Kudassanad Kanakam, saying that the elderly man is mad over yesterday’s incident. We then see that a certain Varghese Devasya is dead, and Mathew Thomas’ character is heading to the funeral. Spadikam George, one of the prominent villains during the 1990s Malayalam cinema, plays the 73-year-old deceased. Devika Sanjay’s character is also introduced and seen interacting with Mathew Thomas, but she too seems to have passed away.
Kanakam continues with the narration, stating that one needs to focus on the man’s weakness. Despite dealing with spirits and funerals, the teaser has a fun vibe.
Senior actor Jagadish is another key character shown in the teaser. Spadikam George’s character sports a smile throughout and looks pleasing, unlike his villainous avatars in the 90s. Notably, he was named thus after the Mohanlal movie Spadikam, where he played a cruel cop.
Sukhamano Sukhamann revolves around a young ambulance driver, who seems to have befriended spirits. The film will explore his unique tale, and whether it is his imagination.
Mathew Thomas had earlier starred in the horror comedy Nellikkampoyil Night Riders, a horror comedy. Though both films deal with spirits, Mathew had recently said in an interview with Filmibeat that his upcoming film is completely different from Nellikkampoyil Night Riders. They are not mere spirits but treated as popper characters in the film.
Arun Lal Ramachandran has written and directed Sukhamano Sukhamann. The film releases in theatres along with Abrid Shine's Spa, Rajesh Madhavan's debut directorial Pennum Porattum, and Ee Thani Niram. starring Anoop Menon.
