Actor Anjumm Sharma rose to fame with Season 1 of the web show, Mirzapur. Sharma then received the chance to be one of the main characters in Mirzapur Season 2. Although he hadn't acted in anything else in a while, now with Sultan of Delhi, he is playing one of the leads. The show, which is created by Milan Luthria, is set to premiere on 13 October 2023.

Anjumm Sharma recently revealed some fascinating insights about his acting career in an exclusive interview with OTTplay. He also discussed whether he fears being overshadowed in multi-starrer projects.

Anjumm Sharma on fear of being sidelined in multi-starrer

Anjumm said: "I really have a lot of belief in whatever work I have done, I think you’re referring to Mirzapur, so the kind of content I’ve been lucky to be associated with, be it Mirzapur or Sultan Of Delhi. One, it’s a very well-written show, well-written script, and then once you know the world then you know the significance and the placements and the positions of your character and then other characters. I firmly believe that art is a collaborative effort so unless and until you believe that you have a good cast in front of you, even you would also not come out well. So I’ve never seen it like that."

The actor further added, "Even with Sultan Of Delhi, when this show came to me and the role was offered, I knew, in this era, the two parallel characters, people don’t really accept. And we kind of have similar viewpoints on that. As an actor, if you’re secure and you know this is what you are doing and this is what the other character is and they are very distinctive and the combination will work for the story. So if you have clarity, security and you have a certain kind of contentment then all these things don’t really come in between.”
