With one of the big Kannada films of the year, James, in theatres, filmmakers are looking at making the most of the next few weeks before KGF: Chapter 2 hits screens on April 14. As of today, four films are confirmed for April 1 release, namely, Taledanda, Home Minister, Body God and Local Train and now a fifth joins them, albeit a day early.
On March 31, veteran actress Suman Nagarkar’s Stalker will release. The film, directed by Kishore Bhargav, who has earlier assisted Ram Gopal Varma and made the Hindi movie Psycho, revolves around a stalker making the life of a young girl a nightmare and the lengths to which her father will go to keep her out of harm’s way. Suman plays an Anti-Terrorism Squad officer in this tale and it appears that her story arc has a connect to that of the young girl. The team released the trailer of the film earlier today to announce the release date.
The thriller, co-written by Somashekara NK and Bharath Pramod, has cinematography by Vinod J Rajis and music by Skanda Kashyap. The film also stars Ram, Namrata Patil, Aishwarya Nambiar, Uday Achar, Jiten Arora, Bhavanishankar Desai, Dhanush, Sanju Pudyandil, Vishu Albert, Guru, Tejas, Shashank. Stalker is produced by Script Tease Films in association with SML Productions.
