Sumo Didi: Jackky Bhagnani's sister Shriyam turns Sumo Wrestler for the biopic series

For Hetal Dave's biopic series, Jackky Bhagnani's cousin sister Shriyam Bhagnani transforms into a sumo wrestler. In the biopic Sumo Didi, actress Shriyam Bhagnani has been cast as Hetal Dave, the sole sumo wrestler from India. According to insiders, the series' filming is nearly over, with the final episode having been shot in Japan. Celebrity trainer Sahil Rasheed shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot and Shriyam's training sessions. If photos are any indication, the actor has gained a lot of weight to play the part. Bhagnani has tried her hand at gaining and losing weight quickly in the past for her onscreen characters.

According to reports, Shriyam, who had roles in Nagesh Kukunoor's City of Dreams and Baaghi 2, undertook rigorous physical training for the part. She had to undergo months of physical conditioning work with well-known trainer Sahil Rasheed in order to bulk up. Hetal Dave is the first and only female professional sumo wrestler from India. This Mumbai-born woman entered the Limca Book of Records in 2008. Estonia hosted her first international competition. Following Estonia, Dave competed for India in competitions in Poland, Finland, and Taiwan. She finished fifth in the women's middleweight division at the 2009 World Games.

Director Jayant Rohatgi is making his directorial debut with the web series Sumo Didi. Nitesh Pandey, Chaitanya Sharma, and Raghav Dhir, who will also appear in the series.
