Ranveer Singh’s nude photo series has caught social media by storm. After his images went viral online, many criticised the actor while a few stood by him.

Recently, two FIRs were filed against the actor for allegedly inflicting emotional harm on women. Actress Sumona Chakravarti of The Kapil Sharma Show used her social media to ridicule these accusations.

The actress took to Instagram to express her thoughts, re-sharing a statement concerning an FIR filed against Ranveer for hurting women's feelings. She wrote, “I am a WOMAN. Neither is my modesty insulted nor my sentiments hurt.”

An FIR was filed at Mumbai's Chembur Police Station, on Ranveer under IPC Portions 292 (Sale of obscene literature, etc.), 293, 509, and sections of the IT Act. For the uninitiated, an NGO called Shyam Mangaram organization filed a suit alleging that Ranveer's nude photos affected the sentiments of women. “Last week we saw many nude photographs were clicked in such a manner that any male or female will feel ashamed about it,” a portion of the complaint said, underlining that such activities need to be opposed.

Numerous Bollywood celebrities have come out in favour of Ranveer. According to Pinkvilla, Ranveer's BFF Arjun Kapoor commented that if he is satisfied with his appearance, others should not impose their views on him.

On the work front, Ranveer recently appeared alongside Bear Grylls in the Netflix interactive special Ranveer vs Wild, and he now has a flurry of projects in his kitty.

The actor will appear alongside Jacqueline Fernandes and Pooja Hegde in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus, which is scheduled to release in the latter half of the year. It is said to be an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.

Ranveer will also feature in Karan Johar's dramedy Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, whose lineup comprises Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan.
