Suniel Shetty had spilled the beans on Kartik Aaryan's role just a day prior to Dharavi Bank launch, where he spoke about 'Hera Pheri' between Akshay Kumar and the producers of the film.
Suniel Shetty has changed his stance on Akshay Kumar not being a part of Hera Pheri 3. The actor has said that he has no clue about ‘Hera Pheri’ between Akshay and the producers. He added that he will have to talk to the producers about it.
However, just a day back, Anna had told Bollywood Hungama that Akshay cannot be replaced. He added that Kartik Aaryan, who has joined the franchise, plays a different character.
At the Dharavi trailer launch though, Suniel changed his words. He said, “Main itna busy raha hoon ki kya Hera Pheri hui hai Hera Pheri mein, mujhe pata hi nahi.” Interestingly though, he was updated about Kartik playing a different character in the upcoming film.
The actor assured the media that he will have to approach the producers to understand the situation. He shared, “Yeh Hera Pheri ke liye mujhe waapis Hera Pheri producer ke paas jaana padega aur poochna padega ki Akshay aur aapke beech mein kya Hera Pheri hua hai?”
Suniel had repeated the same thing he told the portal, at the launch. He said, “Yeh Hera Pheri ke chakkar mein (laughs). Nahi but mujhe genuinely nahi pata. I will go, sit and understand after 20th. Jaanenge kya Hera Pheri hui hai.” Although he previously claimed that he will meet Akshay and others on 19th, Suniel now said that it will only be possible after 20th.
“Main chahunga ki Hera Pheri nahi ho, lekin Hera Pheri bane zaroor,” Suniel said as a response to the question. The actor plays the role of Shyam in the film.
Apart from Akshay and Suniel, Paresh Rawal’s Babu bhaiya has become iconic with Hera Pheri. The female leads for the movie have changed with each installment and thus, there’s no clarity on who will play the female lead this time either.
The movie already has two installments – Hera Pheri (2000) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006). The films have a cult following and have even been incorporated in the forms of memes, years after its release.
