It's a joyful day for all as Crew-9 astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore finally return to Earth after nine months. They landed on Florida's Gulf Coast after a 17-hour journey from space at 3:30 am Indian time. They concluded their historic mission to the International Space Station, which was initially planned for eight days but extended to nine months. As they returned to Earth, actors such as R Madhavan, Jackie Shroff, and others celebrated the homecoming.
Celebs react to Sunita Williams' heroic homecoming
R Madhavan took to his Instagram account and re-shared the video wherein Sunita Williams can be seen waving to the camera upon her return to Earth.
"Welcome back to Earth our dear Sunita Williams. Our prayers have been answered. So wonderful to see you safe and smiling. After more than 260 uncertain days in space this all Gods grace and millions of praying souls being answered. Great job all the #spacefalcon9 #nasa and the entire crew. God bless you," he wrote.

Actor Jackie Shroff wrote on his X account, "Enduring nine months in space demands exceptional patience, unwavering resilience, and an indomitable spirit of discovery."
Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi Konidela also wrote on his X, "Welcome back to Earth! Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore. Historic and heroic homecoming!!! Went for 8 days to space and returned after 286 days, after an astonishing 4577 orbits around earth!"
He further expressed his happiness and added, "Your story is an unmatchably dramatic, utterly nerve-wracking, unbelievably nail-biting thriller and the greatest adventure ever. Work front
Speaking about their professional front, Jackie Shroff has Housefull 5 scheduled for June 6th in the pipeline. On the other hand, R Madhavan, who was recently seen in ZEE5's Hisaab Barabar, will be seen in De De Pyaar De 2, Dhurandhar, and more.
Speaking about Chiranjeevi, he is working on Vishwambhara, a socio-fantasy film that is expected to be released on May 9, 2025, featuring Trisha, Kunal Kapoor, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Ashika Ranganath. He also has a bloody action-packed gangster drama with Srikanth Odela, which has been officially announced but further details are still under wraps.
