Sunny Deol will work on the Indian adaptation of Kevin Bacon's 2007 film, Death Sentence's Hindi adaptation

Sunny Deol is now a part of the Hindi adaptation of Death Sentence. The original movie of 2007 starred Kevin Bacon in the lead role. Sunny Deol's film has opted for a direct-to-OTT release, and it is his first time collaborating with Hichki famed-director Siddharth P. Malhotra. Sunny Deol and Siddharth P. Malhotra have joined hands for the movie which would be the official Hindi adaptation of Kevin Bacon's Death Sentence. "Sunny has allotted bulk dates for the shoot and is being paid a hefty amount to spearhead the feature film," a source told Pinkvilla. The yet-untitled movie is bankrolled by Suparn Verma (who produced Manoj Bajpayee’s Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai and is working on Shah Bano case featuring Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles). The Death Sentence adaptation movie is scheduled to go on floors in July. The original film was the story of an executive who was mild-mannered, until it came to his family. One tragic event changes his life’s trajectory and all he knows is that there is nothing greater than protecting his family members with everything.
Sunny Deol and Siddharth P. Malhotra's action film will be out on Netflix. It is expected to release in 2026, but there is no set date in place. The movie is a direct-to-OTT release.

Gadar 2 star Sunny Deol is busy with Anurag Singh's Border 2 till June end. He would then complete work on Aamir Khan's Lahore: 1947. The actor, who plays Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, would shoot his portions for the movie following the same. It is only after that, that Sunny Deol will be able to work on the Death Sentence adaptation. Apart from these movies, the Ghayal actor also has Jaat sequel in the pipeline.
