Sunny Deol never approached for Border 2 in cameo appearance

Stating that he was never approached for Border 2 in a cameo appearance, Sunny Deol said, "Aaj kal yeh aise theories bahut banne lag jaati hai. I don't know why people indulge in all this." When asked if it's not true that his role was extended after seeing Gadar 2 success, he confirms, "Nahi, nahi. Why would it be?"

Sunny Deol on re-bonding with JP Dutta

Ask him about his complicated relationship with JP Dutta, and Sunny says, "There wasn't any fixing the relationship." Confessing how there comes a point where things turn sour with every person he meets, the actor shares, "I don’t know what happens, but with most of the directors I have worked with, there comes a sour point." Stating how when time calls, they reunite and take off like nothing went wrong. "Hota hai, doston mein bhi hota hai. Phir jab ikhatta ho jaate hai, tab jo cheezein yaad bhi nahi thi, nikal jaata hai. Waqt ki cheez hoti hai jab dono taraf se samajh mein aa jaata hai ki bewakoofi hai," he said.

Sunny Deol on Border 2 release date

The actor confirmed Border 2 release date, but also kept it realistic as he spoke about chances of delay, too. "Hoping it releases early next year," he said, confirming that the makers are eyeing January release. For the uninitiated, the movie is announced for January 22, 2026 release. "Hum dates nikaal dete hai, but anything could happen. Right from special effects to illnesses, anything could delay the project," the actor shared.

Apart from Border 2, Sunny Deol has Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and Aamir Khan-backed Lahore 1947 in the pipeline.
