Action movies have always had a large following in this country just like in most parts of the world. The latest report suggests that Mithun Chakraborty, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff could come together for an action movie that resembles Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Ahmed Khan and Zee have been successful in bringing the four stars together for the action movie. A source also told the publication that the movie will go on floors within a month in a marathon schedule, shot in multiple locations including a studio in Mumbai.

"It's more of a desi Expendables, as all the four men are historically known for having an action image among the masses," the source told Pinkvilla. The makers are trying to bring together a cast of stars who have been in the industry since the 80’s and have done notable action movies.

Reportedly, the movie has been in motion for over a year, with the makers now having all the logistics in place including a script that would justify the presence of the star cast.

For the uninitiated, The Expendables was a 2010 action entertainer starring Sylvester Stallone along with Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Steve Austin and Mickey Rourke.

The movie followed an elite group of elite mercenaries and was a commercial success despite its mixed reviews. The movie was followed by two more sequels, all of which starred Stallone in the lead.

Sunny Deol, who was last seen in Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, is currently working on Gadar 2 and Chup. Sanjay Dutt on the other hand, was seen in the box office biggie, KGF: Chapter 2 and Akshay Kumar led Samrat Prithviraj.
