On October 19, Sunny Deol announced his upcoming film, Gabru. It is set to release on March 13, 2026. The film has been described as a story of courage, conscience and compassion and is expected to be one of Deol's most emotional roles. Now, a report suggested that Salman Khan will make a special appearance in Gabru.

A month after the announcement of Gabru, Bollywood Hungama reported that Salman Khan has a special cameo appearance in Gabru. The source shared, “There was a requirement of a star and the makers knew that Salman Khan fit the bill completely. Salman was approached and he loved the part and its contribution to the film. He quietly shot the film more than a year ago and it has shaped up well.”
Sharing more details about the cameo, the source further added that Salman Khan’s cameo in Gabru is 'all heart.' It is adorable and very entertaining. It has a total of 3 scenes and is therefore an extended special appearance.
"Interestingly, both Salman Khan and Sunny Deol are very close, but they have worked together only once, in Jeet (1996). They were also a part of Heroes (2008) but they never shared screen space in the war film. This also gave Salman another reason to sign Gabru," it shared.

Gabru is directed by Shashank Udapukar and is scheduled for theatrical release on March 13, 2026. As per reports, Simran Bagga and Prit Kamani are cast as the female leads in the movie. The film is expected to have a mix of high-octane action and intense emotions, just like Sunny Deol's signature style.
