Bollywood actress Sunny Leone first came to Kannada cinema in 2014, when she shot for the special number Sesamma Sesamma in director-actor Prem’s DK. Talking about the song back then, Sunny had said that songs in South Indian films are louder and the expressions more elaborate, than the ones she’d done in Hindi films. “My song is about looking sexy, but it isn’t all sex. Instead, I get to enjoy the steps and I had a great time learning each of the dance moves,” she was quoted as saying.
Shortly after, filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh brought her back for the item number Kamakshi, in which she grooved with Srujan Lokesh, the director’s Majaa Talkies co-star. Now, seven years later, Sunny is coming back to Kannada cinema. According to reports, Sunny shot for a song composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath from the film Champion, along with its debutant lead star Sachin Dhanpal Patil. Sunny, the reports state, shot for the song a couple of months ago at a specially-erected set in Bengaluru.
Champion, directed by Shahuraja Shinde is a sports drama in which Sachin is paired with Aditi Prabhudeva. The film also stars Pradeep Raut, Chikkanna, Adi Lokesh, Devaraj, Suman, Ashok Sharma, Rangayana Raghu, Shobhraj, Giri, Avinash, Cockroach Sudi, Prashant Siddi and Mandya Ramesh, among others.
Sunny, who was last seen in the Hindi web series Anamika, is also a part of the Tamil film Quotation Gang, in which she joins a cast including Priya Mani and Jackie Shroff. It was also recently reported that the actress would be dancing to a recreated version of the famous Marathi song, Shantabai, for the upcoming Marathi movie Aamdar Niwas.
