Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is a romantic comedy film directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film stars Varun Dhawan as Sunny Sanskari and Janhvi Kapoor as Tulsi Kumari. The much-awaited teaser for the film was scheduled to be released on August 28, but it has been postponed to August 29. Now, as promised, the makers unveiled the official teaser.

The 53-second teaser of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari introduces Varun Dhawan as Sunny Sanskari, who is practicing Baahubali. Janhvi Kapoor plays Tulsi Kumari. Their fun-filled chemistry brings a vibrant canvas of love, lies, laughter, and full-scale drama.

Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra looks refreshing as ever, and on the other hand, Rohit Saraf gives Shah Rukh Khan's Rahul vibes from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham as he wears a black outfit and gets off a helicopter.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari revolves around a mischievous guy (Varun Dhawan) who falls in love with a feisty girl (Janhvi Kapoor), leading to a love story filled with misunderstandings and humour. The lead cast of this film includes Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Akshay Oberoi and others. The film will be released on October 2, 2025, and is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan. 

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari marks Varun Dhawan’s third collaboration with director Shashank Khaitan after the hit films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). 

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, producer Karan Johar and the team chose the October 2 release date to capitalise on the festive window. A source revealed, “Karan Johar and the whole team realized that this is the apt time to bring this romcom. This year, besides Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra also falls on the same day. Hence, it’ll be a festive period and hopefully, it will face no other competition until Diwali. In other words, it will have a clean run for three weeks."
