What's the story of Superman?

This DC reboot focuses on Clark Kent balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human life as a journalist. But the evil Lex Luthor, a tech billionaire, falsely frames him for an international incident to take over the world, forcing Clark to embrace his Superman identity to save the world from Luther with the help of Lois Lane and the Justice League team.

The movie explores themes of hope, trust, betrayal, and the challenges of being a superhero in a complicated world where the masses begin to doubt you. Clark receives help from Jimmy Olsen, Metamorpho, Green Lantern and Hawkgirl.

The James Gunn directorial collected a total of Rs 60 crore at the Indian box office, as per tracker Sacnilk. Although Superman opened with Rs 7.25 crore in India, the first week collection was Rs 35.5 crore. Meanwhile, Superman grossed $616 million at the worldwide box office with a domestic collection of $354 million, while it was $262 million internationally back in July.

David Corenswet as Superman

Back in July, David Corenswet said that he felt a little weird at first to be the new Superman, as per an article by The New Indian Express. When he saw people actually enjoying his performance, he felt at ease. He had to go through lots of auditions and screen tests. However, he feels grateful to James Gunn for believing in him.

David further shared that his first day on the set wearing the iconic Superman costume with the cape, and everyone’s response was quite a moment. He also revealed that the makers went through a few different ideas for the suit. The first one that he put on did not even have the ‘S’ letter on it, so that felt a little underwhelming.
