Superstar Rajinikanth, Don actor Sivakarthikeyan and Suriya to attend the Vikram audio launch tomorrow?

We had told you Vikram's trailer and audio launch would be launched on May 15, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, in the evening. The latest information is that the star-studded event will see the participation of Superstar Rajinikanth, Suriya (who plays a cameo in Vikram) and Sivakarthikeyan (who plays the lead in Kamal Haasan's next production), along with the other big names in the Tamil film industry. Sources tell that invitations had been sent to all three of them. While Suriya's participation has been confirmed, it's doubtful with Rajinikanth.

Ever since the spread of Coronavirus, Rajinikanth has been skipping public events. Even the makers of Annaatthe didn't hold an audio launch for their film. Both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have been good friends for over 50 years. If the Superstar decides to join the event for his 'friend' Kamal Haasan, then, it's going to be massive.

Further, the invitation was extended to actor Vijay too. Since he's shooting for Thalapathy 66 in Hyderabad, he's likely to skip the Vikram audio launch.

The May 15 audio release was slated to be held in Dubai. Vikram will also have Kamal Haasan playing his younger version in some of the portions. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music and background score, which is his first for a Kamal Haasan-starrer.

A source told OTTplay, "Preparations for the Vikram audio launch were taking place in full swing for quite some time. There will be a few performances at the event as well, which will be choreographed by Sandy, a contestant of Bigg Boss Tamil 3.

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vikram also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in prominent roles. The director has taken the title for this film from Kamal Haasan's 1986 actioner of the same name. Will this be a spin-off featuring the RAW agent, who stopped a missile attack over 25 years ago? We don't know. Let's wait and watch.

The rest of the cast includes Kalidas Jayaram, Chemban Vinod, Narain, Shivani Narayanan, Hareesh Peradi, and Gayathrie Shankar among others. Vikram has cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philomin Raj.

Additionally, the limited-edition Vikram NFTs (a ticket to the experience, and many more utilities like unique artwork of characters, digital avatars, props, posters, film memorabilia, fan interaction moments, private screenings, and access to invite-only VistaDome parties) will be launched on the May 18, at Cannes Film Festival amongst the global film fraternity.

Besides Vikram, June 3 will also see the release of the much-anticipated 'Major', the biopic of the 26/11 braveheart, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, and Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj.
