Veera Simha Reddy is a big hit at the box office and has become Balakrishna's biggest hit in his career. Gopichand Malineni has directed this film and he is being praised a lot for his directional skills. The way he has brought back the faction genre to Telugu cinema and narrated the film in a sensible manner won good applause. Things have gone to the next level as none other than superstar Rajnikanth has seen the film and is in awe of it.
Going into the details, Rajnikanth saw the film and liked it so much that he called Gopichand directly and praised him for the way he directed VSR and showcased Balayya in a ferocious avatar. The director posted this news on Twitter and says that words from the legend means a world to him and he is super thrilled with pride and happiness.
Veera Simha Reddy had Balakrishna in a double role and Shruthi Haasan played the female lead. The action sequences won a lot of applause and the manner in which the drama was highlighted won the hearts of many. Balakrishna also performed so well in this film, which was released after Akhanda, had to deliver and there was so much pressure on Gopichand and he lived up to all the hype created.
Gopichand has been in the industry for a long time and used to do films with the likes of Ravi Teja and other medium range heroes. But directing a big star like Balakrishna was a big task and so much was said whether he would do the job well. But he proved everyone wrong and made the film cross the 100 crore mark at the box office. He is yet to announce his next film to date.
