After a break of almost five months, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Indrajith Sukumaran resumed the shoot of the thriller Pathaam Valavu in Thodupuzha a few days ago. The movie had gone on floors in April but the shoot was halted after 12 days due to the rising COVID-19 cases in Kerala then.
The current schedule will have combination scenes of the two lead actors in the film, which is directed by M Padmakumar and scripted by Abhilash Pillai. The movie’s female leads, Aditi Ravi and Swasika Vijay, are expected to join the team only in its third schedule next month.
On the movie, Abhilash had earlier told OTTplay, “It’s based on a real-life incident that shook Kerala a few years ago. This is a cinematic version of those events. The movie is essentially a thriller but the story also has elements that will appeal to the family audience, with space for action and emotions.”
The movie has Ranjin Raj composing and marks the debut of cinematographer Ratheesh Ram, who had earlier worked as an associate of Shaji Kumar. While Indrajith will be seen in a different avatar of a role that he has often played, Suraj will flaunt multiple get-ups in the movie.
Suraj, meanwhile, has been lauded widely for his portrayal of a father, who is shattered after his daughter’s death and finds out there’s more to her accident than what meets the eye, in director Manu Ashokan’s Kaanekkaane, which is currently streaming on Sony LIV. The actor is also gearing up for another OTT release with Sunil Ibrahim’s family thriller Roy, in which he is paired opposite Sija Rose. The movie’s release date and platform will be revealed soon.
