Surbhi Chandna, Karan Wahi reject Bigg Boss 17, makers struggle with finding more contestants?

It looks like Bigg Boss 17 makers are struggling with finding contestants for their upcoming show. They reportedly approached Surbhi Chandna and Karan Wahi but both seem to have rejected the show. The main concern that the makers and celebs are facing is in the concept which announces where they are single or in a relationship. Apart from that, they feel that they might not be able to match the standards set by Bigg Boss 16 and Bigg Boss OTT 2.

Did both Karan and Surbhi reject the show?

It looks like both Karan and Surbhi are not interested in Bigg Boss 17. A report on Viral En-Talks claims that they have rejected the show and now the makers are having a tough time finding other celebs. “This is largely attributed to the dominance of social media sensations in the past two seasons, including Bigg Boss 16 and the recent OTT version of the show,” the source said.

What was so special about Bigg Boss 16 and Bigg Boss OTT 2?

Bigg Boss 16 had the mandali, which was filled with strong members. Rapper MC Stan, also a part of the group, was declared the winner of the season. Bigg Boss OTT 2, on the other hand, set a new benchmark after YouTuber Elvish Yadav picked up the trophy despite being a wild card. He is now the only wild card to win Bigg Boss.

When will the show launch?

Bigg Boss 17 was expected to launch at the end of the month. However, it now looks like the Salman Khan-hosted show will be postponed to October 20. The makers are yet to make any official announcement on the same.

Who are the other contestants?

No name is finalized for Bigg Boss 17 yet. Whether Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestants, including Elvish, go to the TV show, too, is still unclear. Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar are reportedly not going to be a part of the show.
