Suriya 42: Disha Patani says she is excited about the period action drama with Suriya

Disha Patani seems to be unstoppable this year. The Bollywood actress is all set to make her Tamil debut opposite Suriya, with the period action drama tentatively being referred to as Suriya42. The motion poster of the film was released today and it has won the hearts of many, thanks to its brilliant visuals and background score and Suriya's valiant avatar in it. The film is directed by Siva and this marks the maiden collaboration between Suriya and Siva.

While sharing her excitement about her Tamil debut, Disha said, “I am super excited to announce my next with Suriya sir and Siva sir. It feels great to be part of such a huge project that has got all the larger-than-life elements for the audience to experience on the big screen. Moreover, the character that I am playing is also quite unique and I am also excited to bring my never-seen-before-avatar to the audience." 

The shoot for the film has begun in Chennai and a long schedule is expected to be shot in Goa. Music for the film is by Devi Sri Prasad. Suriya42 will be a pan India project and will be released in 10 languages and in 3D format. The news has piqued the curiosity of Suriya fans and excitement and expectations have soared high after the release of the motion poster.

Disha has explored a different look in almost every film that she appears in. The actress essayed a negative character in her last release Ek Villain Returns. It would be exciting to see what the actress has to offer this time in the periodic action under the direction of Annaaththe director Siva. Meanwhile, the actress will also be seen in Karan Johar's Yodha in which she will team up with Sidharth Malhotra and Project K alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
