Suriya has been in the limelight for some time now, and the actor is currently waiting for the release of his action thriller drama Etharkkum Thunindhavan. The latest reports suggest that the actor will share the screen with his wife Jyothika once again.
The actor will be seen working on director Bala’s next and, as reported by the Times of India, the Jai Bhim star will play a deaf and mute character in the film. While it is confirmed that Suriya and Indhraja Ravichandran will be a part of the movie, there is a buzz about Jyothika joining the project as the lead.
Jyothika and Suriya last worked together in Sillunnu Oru Kadhal, N. Krishna’s romantic drama, which came out 16 years ago. The real-life couple has also shared the screen in Poovellam Kettuppar, Uyirile Kalanthathu, Kaakha Kaakha, Perazhagan, Maayavi, and June R.
Director Bala’s movie with Suriya is backed by the actor’s production house, 2D Entertainment, and is understood to go on floors by the end of March.
Suriya has previously worked with Bala in two movies: the action drama Nanda in 2001 and the 2003 film Pithamagan, co-starring Vikram. Jyothika has also previously collaborated with the director on Naachiyar.
Suriya was last seen in T. J. Gnanavel’s legal drama Jai Bhim, which was released on Amazon Prime Video. The film was also shortlisted among the 276 films eligible for nomination at the 94th Academy Awards but failed to make the final list of nominations.
He is now awaiting the release of Etharkkum Thunindhavan, directed by Pandiraj. Backed by Sun Pictures, the movie is set to hit theatres on March 10.
