The shoot for the first schedule of Suriya's film with director Bala has been wrapped up. The shoot for the film, which is tentatively referred to as Suriya41, has successfully completed its 34-day schedule in Kanyakumari. The next schedule is all set to begin in Goa in June. The film's production house made the announcement on its social media page, "After the successful completion of the 1st schedule of 34 days in Kanyakumari, #Suriya41 is ready for the next stage! The next schedule of 15 days is all set to start in Goa in June after extensive set work! @Suriya_offl #Jyotika #DirBala @rajsekarpandian (sic)."

In the meantime, a video of one of the film's leading ladies, Mamitha Baiju, who is on a break between the schedules, has been doing the rounds on the internet. The actress, who is back in Kerala, spills some beans about her co-star Suriya in the video. "It was quite overwhelming to meet someone whom you have watched on screen all this while and I was nervous during the first meeting with Suriya. I met him before the shoot began and we exchanged pleasantries. He asked me how I was and the ice was broken."

Talking about Suriya as a co-star, Mamitha says, "Everytime he walks into the set, and performs a scene, it takes me back to the films I have watched of his. There is some minor detailing in all the shots he gives. He is a very cool person to work with." The actress, who remained tight-lipped about her role in the film, said that the Kanyakumari schedule has been wrapped up and that the film is yet to get a title. Mamitha will be sharing screen space with Krithi Shetty in the film. While GV Prakash is scoring the music, Balasubramaniem Kathiresan is handling the cinematography.
