According to the latest reports, Kamal Haasan’s next biggie Vikram, with Lokesh Kanagaraj is having difficulty in scheduling the shoot. Etharkum Thuninthavan and the Vikram team have the shoot scheduled at the same time in Karaikudi. But the Etharkum Thuninthavan team already began the shoot and because of Covid-19 restrictions, the Vikram team had to postpone its schedule for Karaikudi.

A source close to Kamal told ToI, “Kamal sir wants to start the shoot from August 20, but the shoot might begin even on August 21 or 22.” The source also revealed that the Etharkum Thuninthavan team is currently shooting at Karaikudi and they could only start after they wrap up.

According to reports, Kamal will be playing a police officer in the movie. He will be donning the cop uniform after 15 years. His last role as a police officer was in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.

The teaser of the fifth movie of Lokesh, Vikram, released about a month ago, was well received. Lokesh is best known for his movies Kaithi and Master where he collaborated with Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi.

Kamal will also be joined by Vijay Sethupathi, Kalidas Jayaram, and Fahadh Faasil by August 20 for Vikram. The team had gone to Chennai for a photoshoot earlier this month. The movie is produced by Raaj Kamal International and Anirudh Ravichander is roped in for its music. The movie will also mark Fahadh’s third project in Tamil after Super Deluxe and Velaikkaran.

Kamal was last seen in Vishwaroopam II, which tanked at the box office. The critics did not spare it either. Despite the success of its prequel, Vishwaroopam II failed to impress the audience. The actor is also looking forward to the release of Indian 2, in which he collaborates with director Shankar after 25 years.
