The team of Suriya's Kanguva has dropped a brand new poster from the film on the occasion of Deepavali. Kanguva refers to the son of fire and the actor is seen holding a flame in the poster and a bunch of his people blowing the war horn.The scene seems to be straight from the battlefield. And what's interesting is that the poster confirmed that the film will indeed hit screens for summer.
Suriya beefs up for the film
Earlier, the 48-year-old actor's picture from the gym, in which he is seen gazing at his well-defined abdominal muscles in the mirror, has sent the internet into a frenzy. Kanguva is one of the most-awaited projects of the actor and Suriya has gone an extra mile to look the part of a warrior from a period era. He plays a warrior prince, who hails from a lineage of warriors and is gearing up to protect his battle.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call Kanguva, one of the most hyped projects of the actor. The film, bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green, is said to be one of the most expensive projects of the actor. Kanguva, a fantasy flick, is billed as a pan-India project. The film, helmed by Siruthai Siva, is all set to release in 10 languages and is being made in 3D.
Why Kanguva became a pan-India project
Talking about how to make the pan-Indian formula work, Gnanavel had earlier said, "If we try to make a Hindi film, we will end up failing. We should make a regional film that satisfies our audience here. That film will work up north as well. There were four stories considered for this particular project. Among the four stories, Kanguva had the biggest scope and span. Only if we get revenue from all the languages, we can make a recovery out of the budget we are spending. "
