Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend and TV actor Vaishali Takkar dies at 26, suicide note recovered

TV actor Vaishali Takkar was found dead in her home in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore on Sunday morning. The actress is best remembered for her role in Sasural Simar Ka. A suicide note was recovered from her.

Right after the news broke, netizens remembered Vaishali’s friendship with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The two had posted a few pictures together from parties that they attended.

Vaishali had also spoken about Sushant's demise. She had suspected foul play. In an interview with SpotboyE, the actress had stated that after looking at his pictures closely, she found something fishy. Vaishali could not believe Sushant's demise and had cried for two-three days. Now, she has left her fans heartbroken.

The police suspect that Vaishali died of suicide. She was found hanging in her home.

Vaishali’s suicide note had a mention of her love affair. She was reported to be engaged to Kenya-based surgeon, Abhinandan Singh.

As reported by ANI, Indore’s assistant commissioner M Rahman also added that the note appeared to have been written while Vaishali was stressed. According to the letter, she was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend.

The actress was living with her father and younger brother, who, when questioned, said that they never thought she would take such a drastic step. She was originally from Ujjain and moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting career. After staying in Jaipur for some time, Vaishali finally shifted to Indore. She was staying with her father and younger brother there since a year.

The actress’ father found her hanging. He broke the door and went in her room when she did not come out since morning.

The cops arrived on scene and sent the mortal remains to Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital for post-mortem. The further proceedings in the matter have commences. Vaishali’s phone and personal belongings have been confiscated for further investigation. Her family members’ statements are also being recorded.

Vaishali had made her acting debut in 2015 with the popular TV show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She was last seen in another TV show named Rakshabandhan. The serial starred Nishant Malkani as the lead male actor.
