Actor Sushanth, who has hit a purple patch with meaty roles in consecutive releases like Chi La Sow and Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, will next be seen in a unique thriller Ichata Vahanamulu Niluparadu. The film, whose shoot was wrapped a few months ago, has been lying in the cans for a long time and finally has a release date. It's now official that Ichata Vahanamulu Niluparadu will hit theatres on August 27. Directed by S Darshan, the film also features Meenakshi Chaudhary, Venkat, Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi and Abhinav Gomatam in prominent roles.

Pravin Lakkaraju's catchy music for the film has proved crucial in helping Ichata Vahanamulu Niluparadu stay on the minds of the viewers of the past few months. Songs like Hey Manasendukila, Padmavyuham have garnered close to 6 million and 2 million hits on YouTube already. The teaser promises a film with an out-of-the-box premise revolving around a 'no parking' sign. The fate of the film is crucial for its lead actor Sushanth, who will look to capitalise on the good momentum he's had over the last couple of years. The film promises a healthy dose of humour with actors like Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi and Abhinav Gomatam in pivotal roles.

Telugu film producers are on a release-announcement spree since the last week, particularly buoyed by the success of the small-budget winner SR Kalyana Mandapam. The latter, starring Kiran Abbavaram, Sai Kumar and Priyanka Jawalkar, made a splash at theatres in the first week of August. Several producers have revised their direct-to-OTT deals noticing the promising footfalls in theatres and are keen to release their films on the big screen. However, with regular warnings about the possibility of a COVID-19 third wave, it remains to be seen if the release schedules would go as planned. Some of the films that are headed for a theatrical release are Paagal, Raja Raja Chora and Dear Megha.
