Sutliyan trailer: Ayesha Raza and family go through the ups and downs in life together

Yet another family drama, which promises to explore the inherent delight and dysfunction of family dynamics, is set to hit the screen in the form of ZEE5’s upcoming series, Sutliyan. The makers unveiled the trailer of the series recently, and it introduces viewers to the quirky Chandel family.

The trailer, which can be viewed on ZEE5’s official Youtube channel, sees the entire Chandel family, consisting of the elderly matriarch and her three adult children, who come together in their family home of Bhopal in the days leading up to Diwali. As the group spends time together, old wounds are brought up, new problems surface and tensions arise between them.

The series stars Ayesha Raza as the mother with Shiv Pandit, Vivaan Shah and Plabita Borthakur, essaying the roles of her three adult children. In a statement, Raza had called the upcoming series a ‘special’ project for her, opening up about the bond she shared with her co-stars on and off-screen, a sentiment echoed by the rest of the cast as well. She also expressed her belief that audiences would be able to relate and connect with the characters on the show.

Borthakur had also talked about how she hoped the series will bring viewers closer to their loved ones, and how the series also addressed some important societal issues.

Karan Raj Kohli and Viraj Kapur have produced the series.

Sutliyan will premiere on ZEE5 on March 4, 2022.
