Suzhal The Vortex S2 trailer out: Prime Video gears up for yet another mind-twisting tale from Pushkar and Gayatri

We had earlier reported that Tamil web series Suzhal The Vortex, has been renewed for the second season by streaming platform Amazon Prime Video. The makers on Wednesday dropped the trailer of the upcoming season. The second instalment is all set to premiere on February 28.

Suzhal The Vortex is a crime thriller series created by Pushkar and Gayatri. The series premiered in 2022 on Prime Video. Now, after three years later, the makers are gearing up for the second season of the show. The trailer of Suzhal The Vortex season 2 is now out.

The trailer hints that the story picks from where the first season ends. Aishwarya Rajesh’s Nandhini who killed her sister’s molester, is jailed. Actor Kathir is also back as Sakkarai who takes all the efforts to bring Nandhini back. 

The Vortex S2 begins with the shocking murder of senior activist lawyer Chellapa, who defended Nandini. Sakkarai is summoned to assist the family in their time of crisis. Set against the backdrop of the massive Ashtakaali Festival, the case unravels family secrets and betrayals, and acts in the past that cast long shadows on the present.

The star cast of the second season includes Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, Lal, Saravanan, Manjima Mohan, Kayal Chandran, Gouri G Kishan, Samyuktha Viola Viswanathan, Monisha Blessy, Rini, Shrisha, Abhirami Bose, Nikhila Sankar, Kalaivani Bhaskar, Ashwini Nambiar, Chandini Tamilarasan and others. Created by Pushkar and Gayatri, the series is helmed by Bramma and Sarjun KM

All you need to know about Suzhal S1

The first season was set in the fictional town of Saambaloor in Tamil Nadu, and explored the investigation of a missing girl, as it unravels into the deeper and darker secrets of the residents of the village. The series starred actors Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, R. Parthiban and Sriya Reddy, among others.

The first season was received well with positive response, and was hailed for its making and production values. It consisted of eight episodes, and was directed by Bramma G and Anucharan Murugaiyan. Pushkar and Gayathri served as the creative showrunners of the series.
