Swara Bhasker, an actor, has made waves with her standout performances in films like Raanjhanaa, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Nil Battey Sannata, Anaarkali of Aarah, Veere Di Wedding, and Sheer Qorma in addition to the blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu. She has made a name for herself as an entertainer. In the 2009 drama Madholal Keep Walking, in which she played a supporting role, Swara made her acting debut.

The Veere Di Wedding actress said that she put her acting career in jeopardy on purpose in a recent interview, adding that the "cost has been huge." Swara implied that she was a more talented and capable actor.

In a recent interview with The Times of India, Swara said, "I've consciously chosen to put at risk the thing that is most dear to me, and that is my work. And the cost has been huge, and it's been personal and emotional in the sense that I don't get to do the thing I love, which is acting. I don't get to do it enough."

Although she had a better track record than other actors, she continued, there had been a lack of "good opportunities." "I'm a far better actor and a far more competent and effective actor than the opportunities that come my way. I have a far better track record in terms of my career. I've been part of six or seven blockbuster films and, like a whole bunch of web series and shows, I've led them. I've never had bad reviews, pretty much. There shouldn't be a reason for me to feel like I don't get enough work, but I don't."

Swara last appeared with Meher Vij, Pooja Chopra, and Shikha Talsania in Jahaan Chaar Yaar. In the movie Jahaan Chaar Yaar, a group of four married friends decide to fly to Goa to escape their regular lives, but instead find themselves in the centre of "an unbelievable experience." On September 16, the movie, which Vinod Bachchan both produced and directed, released to bad reviews. The film was called a failure.

Swara Bhasker will now be seen in the upcoming murder mystery film Mimamsa.
