Swastika Mukherjee is abroad right now. Her daughter Anwesha got a master’s degree from Cardiff University in the UK. Swastika went to the UK to participate in her daughter’s graduation program. But why is she roaming in the streets with shoes in her hand?
The Bijoya-actress posted a photo of the ceremony, where she was seen in a red saree and blue blouse and a graduation hat on her head. She had a bag on her shoulder and held a pair of shoes in her hand. She was smiling. What was she doing with the shoes? Swastika said that her daughter could not go with high-heeled shoes for a long time and hence she carried chappals.
Swastika wrote ‘I am doing what mothers can do best. I am carrying a bag and chappals so that my daughter can wear them after the program. I am carrying my entire household in this bag.’
Many people commented on this post. One person wrote ‘You, with your smiling face and this mismatched blue bag with the baluchari saree, looked like Santa Claus, who carries all that is needed in the world. Let your bag be full with your child’s happiness. Be good, you and your kid.’ Another person wrote ‘Mothers are magicians. They can fill everything in their bags and roam around.’
Swastika will be seen in Srijit Mukherji’s film Tekka, to be released during Puja, and the film Promoter Boudi.
