Randeep Hooda’s highly anticipated film Swatantra Veer Savarkar is all set to hit the theatres on March 22, 2024. Based on the life of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar, the film is helmed and produced by Randeep himself along with Zee Studios, Sandeep Singh, Anand Palit and Sam Khan.  Randeep Hooda plays the titular character, along with Ankita Lokhande and Amit Sial, among others, in the film.

Plot

Swatantra Veer Savarkar delves into the life of Hindutva idealogue and freedom fighter Veer Savarkar and aims to showcase his contribution to India’s freedom struggle. The film showcases his plan of action for securing India's freedom. It also features Savarkar’s time in the infamous Kaala Paani jail. The film aspires to create awareness about Savarkar’s ideology and his aspiration to achieve a free and united India.

Trailer

The trailer starts by showcasing Veer Savarkar being regarded as the most dangerous man in the country by the British colonisers. While showcasing the never-before-seen avatar of Randeep Hooda as Veer Savarkar, the movie aims to explain his ideology of Hindutva which states that the nation is above religion. While featuring Savarkar’s personal life with his wife Yamunabai Savarkar, the trailer shows his undying devotion to his motherland. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Savarkar’s plan to unleash a war of terror on the British with the help of his fellow countrymen.

Cast

As for the film’s cast, Randeep plays the pivotal character of Veer Savarkar with actress Ankita Lokhande playing the role of his wife, Yamunabai Savarkar.

This biographical film will hit the theatres on March 22 in Hindi and Marathi.
