Sweetheart, the recently released Tamil romantic drama, is nearing the end of its theatrical run and is set to make its streaming debut soon. JioHotstar has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film, which stars Rio Raj and Gopika Ramesh in the lead roles. The streaming platform announced on Tuesday that the film is set to premiere on April 11.
Celebrated composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has backed films like Maamanithan and Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, has backed Sweetheart as well under his production banner YSR Films.

Actors Rio Raj and Gopika Ramesh starred in the 2025 Tamil romantic drama titled Sweetheart. The film hit theatres in March, and following this, Sweetheart is all set to make its OTT debut. JioHotstar has announced that the film will premiere on April 11.

Sweetheart, one of the recent romantic dramas in Tamil, talks about two lovers who break up, but have to meet after the girl informs the boy that she is pregnant. Grounded at her home by her strict family, the boy must discreetly meet his former lover.
The film is written and directed by Swineeth S. Sukumar. Yuvan Shankar Raja has also scored the music for the film, with a supporting cast comprising of Renji Panicker, Redin Kingsley, Arunachaleswaran Pa, Fouziee, Suresh Chakravarthy and others. The film was shot by Balaji Subramanyam, with Tamil Arasan as editor.
