Sweetheart, the Tamil romantic drama which released in March, is now available for streaming on JioHotstar. The film stars Rio Raj and Gopika Ramesh in the lead roles, and produced by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja who has earlier backed films like Maamanithan and Pyaar Prema Kaadhal .

Sweetheart is the latest Tamil film to be acquired by JioHotstar, and is available for streaming right now, in several languages include Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Starring actors Rio Raj and Gopika Ramesh in the lead roles, Sweetheart is a romantic drama, written and directed by Swineeth S. Sukumar in his directorial debut.
The film revolves around the narration in non-linear way of a love story and an unexpected pre-marital pregnancy, which leads to a series of events creating problem for the main protagonists. While the girl is grounded by her family who is unaware of her condition, the boy has to make sure to meet her in secret to speak to her and find a solution. Besides backing the film, Yuvan Shankar Raja has also scored the music for the film.
The supporting cast of Sweetheart includes Renji Panicker, Redin Kingsley, Arunachaleswaran Pa, Fouziee, Suresh Chakravarthy and others. The film was shot by Balaji Subramanyam, with Tamil Arasan as editor. Sweetheart opened to middling reviews from audience.
