The must-win clash for India in the Super 12 ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 game against Bangladesh saw fans initially worried about opener KL Rahul's performance.

However, the batter proved everyone wrong and went on to smash his half-century before getting out at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.

Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to bowl on Wednesday. While India lost skipper Rohit Sharma cheaply, KL Rahul along with Virat Kohli decided to switch gears after a slow start and started scoring boundaries.

In Shakib Al Hasan's over, KL Rahul had reached his half-century, and this was a special knock after he had got out to single digits against three opponents.

However, in the very next delivery, the opener departed. This was the breakthrough Bangladesh needed, but netizens were happy seeing KL Rahul regain his form.

In fact, many believe, it was the talk Rahul had with Virat Kohli in the nets during their warm-up that got the batter to play freely.

Talking about the clash, the Men in Blue have already crossed the 100-run mark. Kohli was joined by Suryakumar Yadav on the crease and the two were making sure to get as many runs on the board as possible, especially keeping the weather in mind. However, SKY too departed for 30 off 16 balls.

It is to be known that Kohli also became the leading run-getter in the Men's T20 World Cup.
