Taali trailer: Sushmita Sen plays Shreegauri Sawant in the revolutionary tale of the transgender activist

Taali is an upcoming biographical drama series on Jio Cinema. Sushmita Sen portrays Shreegauri Sawant, which is said to be one of the most powerful characters she has ever played. After the powerful teaser video, the makers have now dropped an official trailer that gives a glimpse into the life of the transgender activist.

The trailer begins by showcasing how Ganesh always finds himself more inclined towards feminine energy instead of liking masculinity since childhood. Moving on, the video sees how Gauri finally understands her inner personality and fights the gender of her kind. Apart from that, she also does a lot of social work for the one, who are in need.

The makers dropped the latest trailer video with a special caption on YouTube that reads, "Gauri aa gayi hai. Apne swabhimaan, sammaan aur swatantrata ki kahaani lekar. #Taali - Bajayenge nahi, bajwayenge! #TaaliOnJioCinema, streaming free 15 Aug onwards. (sic)."

Created by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar, Ravi Jadhav directorial is written by Kshitij Patwardhan. Meanwhile, Arjun Singgh Baran, Kartk D Nishandar of GSEAMS Production and Afeefa Nadiadwala have bankrolled the show.

The forthcoming series will showcase the revolutionary story of Shreegauri Sawant, who fought for the recognition of the third gender in India and brought a lot of people to justice. 

Taali, which also features Nitish Rathore, Ankur Bhatia, Aishwarya Narkar and Hemangi Kavi, is all set to be out on Jio Cinema on August 15.
